On New Year's Day, I received a text from a college roommate that I hadn't seen in ages, which is obviously the best way to start off a brand new year. Some of my favorite memories from Calvin College involve Allyson, so when she asked if I could take a few pictures for her, I couldn't say yes fast enough. Spending a morning with Jason and Allyson (and their dog Ruby!) was the absolute best; they set the bar very high for 2016.
I can't think of a better way to sign off for 2015 than to share these pictures with you. Quinn's mom was one of my best friends growing up. I get the warm fuzzies just thinking about all the sleepovers we had and the dorky "fashion shows" captured on VHS (middle school Jillian was just SO awkward). So when Stephanie asked if I was available to photograph her beautiful daughter, I couldn't have been more delighted. (And let's be real: it's unreal how much I envy Quinn's curly hair.)
I had been looking forward to this shoot all year, ever since Sara reached out to me back in May. Not only would I get to photograph her family and her sister's family, but her British extended family was going to be in town! So basically I got to spend the day with some pretty beautiful people and the best accents in the world. (As a friendly reminder, let me say that I love to travel if anyone across the pond needs some photographs taken...)
Last week slipped away from me, but I haven't forgotten about sharing these fun family pictures! These cool cats braved some brisk fall air to capture some new family portraits downtown. (And get a sneak peek at Baby Parm, due to arrive next year!)
I was so excited when Abbey contacted me about family pictures. real talk: this is a good-looking family. Beauty aside, they're also so warm and friendly and fun--and they even brought along their own furniture (with rivets!). So yeah, I'll tramp through the woods with them any day.
